TIFTON — A student was killed on his skateboard around 7 a.m., Wednesday morning.

The 17-year-old student was on his way to school when he was hit by a pickup truck. The incident happened at the intersection of Ferry Lake Road and Clay Drive.

The student’s name has yet to be released, but will be by the coroner once the family has been contacted.

The case is being investigated by Georgia State Patrol at this time.
