EARLY CO. — Two people were shot to death in Early County on Tuesday night. Leland Gleaton and Terry Cox were killed outside of Cox’s home on 48 Marion Street.

Early County Sheriff’s office received a call around 10:00 p.m. about an argument and gun shots. The caller also said that a white pickup truck had left the scene.

The driver of the truck was stopped on Georgia Highway 200 and taken into custody by deputies. The driver has yet to be charged, but is being held on suspicion.

Officials are investigating the crime.
