ALBANY — An Albany woman has been indicted in the death of her husband.  Authorities say she tried to make the murder appear to be a suicide.

A grand jury in Dougherty County has indicted Susan Embert for felony and malice murder in the death of her husband, Jake Embert.

Prosecutors claim Embert, who has been arrested in Milton, Florida, attempted to make the murder look like a suicide.

The incident occurred at their home on Hibiscus Road, Albany, in June of 2014.  Jake Embert had been a long-time civilian employee at the Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany.

Authorities are completing extradition paperwork on Susan Embert to have her returned to Albany to face trial.
