There’s going to be a “Harry Potter” play in London this July called “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child”.
It’s a sequel set 19 years after the last book, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”. Harry is now a ‘Ministry of Magic’ employee, and it involves his son Albus Severus Potter.
And yesterday J. K. Rowling announced she’s releasing the play in book-form under the name “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Parts 1 & 2”. It’ll hit stores on July 31st, which is Harry Potter’s birthday in the books.
She talked about the story a few months ago. Quote, “It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children.
“While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted.”
