On September 7, 2024, around 11:00 am., a Valdosta Police Officer was working off-duty at a sporting event in the 2000 block of East Park Avenue. While monitoring the crowd, the officer observed Rondrick Larnard Leggett, 37 years of age, talking with subjects. The officer was familiar with Leggett having numerous active arrest warrants, based on be on the lookout (bolos), sent throughout the department from other officers.

Leggett was taken into custody without further incident. Officers confirmed that Leggett had eight (8) active arrest warrants, including three (3) for felony shoplifting, and three (3) for misdemeanor obstruction of an officer.
Leggett was transported to Lowndes County Jail on the active arrest warrants. Leggett gained additional charges of obstruction of an officer (misdemeanor) and giving a false name and date of birth (misdemeanor).
The person driving the car stated that she did not know Leggett, but she did not want to press charges against him.
