Atlanta, Ga.— After the departure of Frank De Boer as head coach of Atlanta United FC, Stephen Glass, coach of ATL UTD 2, agreed to fill the vacancy until a new coach was found. Atlanta United Academy Director Tony Annan will fill Glass’ former role as head coach of ATL UTD 2.
Glass is a UEFA Pro coaching license holder whom Atlanta United president, Darren Eales, vouched for. Eales is confident in Glass’ ability to “reenergize the team and move the club in the right direction during this transition period.” Atlanta United’s coaching staff will now consist of Stephen Glass (head coach), Jack Kimber (fitness coach), Rob Valentino (assistant), and Henry Apaloo (interim assistant).
