VALDOSTA – The Valdosta Board of Education has unanimously approved a trip for the Valdosta High School football team to attend the 2016 Geico State Champions Bowl Series in Texas.

The VHS Wildcats received the invitation to compete in the series on Monday.

The Wildcats will take on Chandler High School out of Arizona at 6 p.m. on Friday, December 23rd.

Valdosta City Schools says although no tickets will be sold locally, fans can purchase tickets and learn more about the game by visiting geicobowlseries.com.

All the games will also be aired on ESPNU.
