VALDOSTA – Patsy Casteen lost 100 pounds in two years, and on Monday she will appear on NBC’s Today Show to talk about her success.
Casteen weighed 264 pounds before she joined TOPS Club (Take Off Pounds Sensibly), a not-for-profit, non-commercial weight loss and support organization.
It took Casteen two years to shed the extra pounds, but she said heart issues and knee problems she had previously cleared up since losing the weight.
She used to wear a size 28, and now she slips into a size 12.
The 61-year-old has also complete 17 5k runs, and although she laughs about always coming in last, she said she is proud of always finishing the race. TOPS charges an annual fee of $32.
On Monday, Casteen will appear on the Today Show during the Joy Bauer Club segment to talk about how she was about to take control of her life.
