LOWNDES CO – A Lowndes High School student has made history by becoming the youngest-ever Community Partner at LMS.

Release:

Lowndes High School student Emerson Shiver has made history as the youngest-ever Community Partner in Education at Lowndes Middle School.

Shiver’s passion for art has led to a spirited transformation of the school lobby, sparking excitement among students as they gear up for the new school year.

While working on the project, Emerson often reflected on the influence of her favorite middle school teachers from when she was a student at LMS. Despite her deep love for art, this project was a first for her, and she didn’t let fear stand in the way of turning her vision into reality.

LMS Principal Bill Haskin expressed his pride in Emerson’s work, stating that her efforts will help students enter the building with a renewed sense of Viking pride this year. Beyond the lobby makeover, Emerson is also eager to share her talents by offering art classes to students in the after-school program.

Her growing art business, which has gained traction on Instagram, reflects her dedication and commitment to her craft. The entire school community is abuzz with excitement over the impact of her project.
