ANNOUNCES OFFICE CLOSURE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Lowndes County, GA – In light of recent developments with the spread of the COVID-19 virus and rapidly changing protocols as issued by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and in light of states of emergency having been declared by the President of the United States and the Governor of the State of Georgia, the Lowndes County Tax Commissioner’s Office and Drive Thru will be closed to the public effective March 24, 2020, until further notice. Commissioner Cain states, “We remain dedicated to serving the public during this period of time. Our staff will be working to return phone calls, return emails, and process mail and renewals as efficiently as possible. Our phone number is 229-671-2579. Documents may be submitted in the Dropbox at the Drive Thru in our back parking lot at 300 North Patterson
Street.”
He encourages taxpayers to utilize online services as part of the recommendations for social distancing. For online services, please visit Commissioner Cain’s website:
