THOMASVILLE — A note found at a Thomasville middle school resulted in a school evacuation Thursday.

WCTV is reporting the MacIntyre Park Middle School and the Scholars Academy were evacuated by Thomasville Police early Thursday.

The report stated a student threatened “both their life and the life of others” through a note Police obtained.

Students were eventually released for the day before noon.

Police also placed Thomasville High School and Scott Elementary School on lockdown as a result of the threat, but eventually lifted those orders.

No further information was initially provided.
