VALDOSTA – A report released by the Georgia Department of Public Safety gives more information as to the cause of accident involved two patrol cars in Valdosta.
WTXL is reporting that the DPS report notes that the two patrol cars driven by Sergeant Jeremyah Jones, Valdosta Police Department, and Sergeant Craig Robey, Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office, crashed while rushing to help fellow officers who were injured while attempting to arrest a suspect.
According to the DPS traffic crash report reported by WTXL, Sergeant Jones failed to, “…use due regard and entered the intersection,” causing his vehicle to crash into Sergeant Robey’s vehicle.
Sergeant Jones was treated at South Georgia Medical Center with injuries to his arm after the crash.
