BAINBRIDGE – A tip lead police to a contractor operating a meth lab at a home construction site.
Steven Morrison, 46 of Climax, was arrested in Decatur County after charges he was operating a meth lab in the carport of a new home.
At the site on Breedlove Lane, investigators found a 5-gallon bucket with the meth lab inside.
In an interview with WALB, Investigator Adam Mobley with the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office said, “He took sole responsibility. He said, ‘It’s my meth lab, it’s my stuff, it’s all mine.’ Honestly, a lot of them don’t like to do it in their home. They’re either going to do it outside, in the woods, or in someone else’s house. It’s common now for them not to do it in their own homes.”
The GBI cleaned up the lab which, fortunately was operated outside the house.
