UPDATE: VALDOSTA — Valdosta High School junior varsity baseball player, Colton Shaw passed away around 11:30 a.m., on Thursday after being taken off of life support.
Valdosta City School’s Superintendent E. Martin Roesch and baseball coach, Bart Shuman arrived at the hospital this morning to be with Colton and the Shaw family.
The Valdosta community is deeply saddened by the news and VHS will be offering grief counseling for it’s students.
VALDOSTA — A Valdosta High School baseball player is on life support after being struck in the head.
Freshman, Colton Shaw was hit in the head by a baseball at the VHS baseball game in Moultrie, on Wednesday.
Shaw was life flighted to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, and is reported to be in critical condition.
