AMERICUS — Multiple people in Sumter County have been arrested in a double homicide case.
A home was caught on fire Friday night, 54-year-old Bonnie Freeman and 33-year-old Dallas Freeman were found dead at the scene.
Firefighters noticed that the victims had gunshot injuries and asked for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to investigate the case.
Three men, 17-year-old Ruhemmeien King, 22-year-old Qwinterrious Dodson and 28-year-old Reginal Mathis were arrested and charged. King was charged with two county of felony murder, Mathis and Dodson were charged with theft by receiving.
