TIFTON — A Chula man has been charged with killing his wife after autopsy results were examined.

Timmy Thompson, 43 of Chula in Tift County, was arrested in connection with the death of his wife, Peggy Thompson, 38.  He has been charged with murder and aggravated assault-family violence.  Peggy Thompson died October 30th at the couple’s home on Brookfield Road.

The autopsy results, according to Tift County Sheriff’s Office, concluded that Thompson’s death was in fact a homicide.

The accused is being held in the Tift County jail.
