Good afternoon, this is Sandra Wilcher, Director of Student Support Services with Lowndes County Schools.

We continue to work diligently to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. We need your assistance by making sure the  COVID-19 Daily Self Screening Questionnaire is being used daily by all staff members and students.

A staff member or a student should not come to school if they are exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, waiting on test results for COVID-19, if there is a recent positive COVID-19 test, or if there has been a possible exposure to COVID-19.

Report any of this immediately using the COVID-19 Reporting form for your school at which point the school nurse will be in touch to determine a return to school date. All COVID-19 forms are available on the system website under For Families. 

We appreciate all the safety efforts of our students and staff. While providing a quality education, we must also follow COVID-19 safety guidance provided by the Department of Public Health and the Center for Disease Control.
