TIFTON – Surveillance footage appears to show a Tift County Pre-K Center teacher knocking down a four-year-old student in a hallway at the school.

The incident happened March 17, and Tift County School officials said the young boy was not injured, and reported the incident to the Division of Family and Children Services.

The special education teacher, identified as Amelia Stripling, has since resigned. Officials said she had worked for the school system for more than 20 years.

The student’s mother has retained a lawyer.
