LAKE PARK — The Lake Park Elementary Junior Beta Club recently held a bake sale to raise funds for the pediatric unit of South Georgia Medical Center. The nurses requested a gaming center and games which patients could use in the main room. Beta Club members raised $636.71 and purchased a Wii U, 4 controllers, 8 games, and batteries for all the controllers. The GameStop in the Valdosta Colonial Mall donated free shipping and a two year warranty.

Accepting the system is Nurse Brooke Rentz with Beta Club officers, Charles Hamsley and Lauren Varnadore.
