Albany > Man Pleads Guilty to Murder

ALBANY — An Albany man plead guilty to the murder of his wife on Monday. In November of 2008 Allen Robinson Jr. stabbed his wife, 30-year-old Rashonda Dowell to death. At the time, Robinson worked for Dougherty County Jail.

On Monday, around 6:30 p.m. Robinson plead guilty to Dowell’s murder.

Robinson plead to felony murder, kidnapping with bodily injury, aggravated battery, stalking, and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime.

On Tuesday, the court sentenced Robinson to life in prison, plus 35 years, and eligible for parole in 60 years.
