Mrs. Wendy Fletcher, a teacher at Clyattville Elementary School, was recognized during a recent Lowndes County Schools Board of Education meeting for being named a Featured Teacher by the Georgia Council on Economic Education.

This recognition highlights Mrs. Fletcher’s outstanding work in creating meaningful cross-curricular learning experiences that help students connect classroom concepts to the real world. Through the use of GCEE resources, her students engage with ELA texts in deeper and more meaningful ways while also developing a stronger understanding of the economic impact of historical events and how those concepts connect to their community today.
