VALDOSTA — Outdoor RecFest returns Saturday with kayaking, fishing, hiking, food trucks, and family-friendly outdoor activities at Langdale Park.

VALDOSTA, GA — The Valdosta-Lowndes County Parks & Recreation Authority, in partnership with TRAILS4valdosta, will host a free Outdoor RecFest this Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Langdale Park. The all-ages, family-friendly event marks the reopening of Langdale Park’s walking and biking trails while highlighting outdoor recreation opportunities throughout the Valdosta community.

Outdoor RecFest will feature a variety of hands-on activities provided by local organizations including a group trail run and hike, kayaking, ax throwing, fishing, and interactive educational opportunities. Attendees can also visit community partner booths representing local outdoor groups, nonprofits, and recreation providers. Food trucks will also be on site throughout the event, offering local lunch options for attendees.

Outdoor RecFest is designed to bring the community together while encouraging residents of all ages to explore and enjoy the outdoors.
