VALDOSTA, Ga.— Coming off their record setting performances in the Blazer Classic back in Mid-October, the Valdosta State cross country team is readying for the Gulf South Conference Championship. Hosted by Alabama-Huntsville, the GSC Championship will commence on October 31 at John Hunt Park.

According to the VSU Athletics Department, Coach Smoot has set the bar high for the team, with expectations that they can make the top five at the Championship. Blazers Brishen House (junior), Samantha Murray (junior), and Angie Cipriani (senior) have performed especially well this season and should be interesting to watch in the Championship. VSU intends to make the live broadcast available on their site at the time of the event.
