VALDOSTA, GA – Yohan Nguyen, a senior at Valdosta State University, has been named the ‘ITA South Region Senior Player of the Year,’ and Florian Simbozel, a junior, has been named the ‘ITA South Region Player to Watch’ for the 2020-2021 season.

From Paris, France, Nguyen went 7-1 in singles matches this spring and earned the Blazer’s top spot in the lineup. Also a Paris native, Simbozel went 8-1 in dual matches this season and 3-0 in conference play to earn the number two spot.

The duo went went 5-2 in doubles matches for the spring and finished fourth overall in the final South Region rankings.
