VALDOSTA, Ga. – Valwood School partnered with South Georgia State College (SGSC) to bring the 5th overall 6v6 Winter Showdown Tournament this past weekend.

The two-day tournament saw the largest turnout with a total of 23 teams, 12 boys and 11 girls. Jacob Crawford, the director of the tournament and Women’s Head Coach at SGSC, had this to say about the showdown, “this tournament has been designed to be an enjoyable pre-season competition to improve players’ fitness levels and overall team cohesion going into the school season.”

Colquitt County High School’s top team won the tournament for the second year in a row; while Jukes of Hazzard, a group of Valdosta-area girls, won in overtime.
