VALDOSTA, Ga. – Valdosta State University Blazer junior quarterback Rogan Wells was named a finalist for the prestigious Harlon Hill Trophy Award for the second season.

This award is given to the best college football player in NCAA Division II.  

Through a round of regional voting the eight finalists were chosen and will not be placed on a national ballot.

All 184 of the division’s schools and conferences SIDs will select the awards 34th winner, according to VState.com.

The winner will be announced on December 20 and honored at the Little Rock Touchdown Club awards banquet on Jan. 9, 2010.
