VALDOSTA – Junior shortstop Jessica Mohl put up eye-popping numbers last week, and her efforts did not go unnoticed, as she was named the Gulf South Conference Player of the Week by the league office on Tuesday.
Mohl posted an incredible .750 batting average on the week, with 15 hits in 20 at-bats. In addition, she tallied 23 total bases for a 1.150 slugging percentage, scored 17 runs, and drove in four RBI’s from the leadoff spot to help the Blazers outscore their opponents 73-7 over the course of the week. Her 15 hits included three doubles, a triple, and a homer, and she added two walks with three stolen bases. On defense, the West Palm Beach native recorded 12 assists and four putouts with no errors.
