VALDOSTA – South Georgia Golf Promotions and The Hoot-Owl Amateur tour will be seeking Valdosta’s the best golfer and best 4-man team in 2016 Valdosta Cup October 23 hosted by The Golf Club Of South Georgia in Tifton, Georgia.

Organizers chose a neutral course that would eliminate any course from having any advantages of being a host. All golfers will be paying the same green-fees and the individual and team modified stableford formats require golfers to have an official USGA Handicap and point quota. The event is open to male amateur golfers 21 years old and older who are members of a Valdosta golf course, club or pub-links golfers who play regularly and considered a Valdosta Course as their home course.

The event will consist of three flights based on ages of 21-49-50-59-60-up.Special awards will be presented to overall individual winner, overall team winners and flight winners. A rotating trophy will be presented to the club of the winning team competition.

Optional events include individual and team prizes, skins game, closest to pin contests, 50/50 drawing benefiting Breast Cancer Awareness and a Post Tournament Party at Austin’s Steak House.
