HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – After two rounds in the NCAA Division II South Regional Tournament at the Mission Inn Golf and Tennis Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla., Valdosta State golf’s Chris Rogers will aim to finish strong and improve his 86th place position on the leaderboard in the upcoming final round.

Following an opening round in which Rogers used back-to-back birdies on holes 10 and 11 to help soften the blow of four bogeys and a double-bogey for a 4-over 76 finish, the Blazer senior slipped in round two to finish at 10-over 82.

Rogers picked up two consecutive birdies at holes 15 and 16 after starting the day on the back nine, but a series of double-bogeys after the turn spoiled the day and dropped him to a score of 14-over 158 heading into the third and final round.
