VALDOSTA – Valdosta State University is proud to serve as the host site for the Georgia High School Association Class A – Public Boys and Girls Quarterfinals and Semifinals. The event returns to The Complex at Valdosta State for the first time since 2006, and will feature 16 of the state’s best boys and girls teams to compete for a trip to the state championship.
“We are truly excited about being selected as a host site for the GHSA Class A Public School Boys and Girls quarterfinals and semifinals,” said Valdosta State Athletic Director Herb Reinhard. “This is a great opportunity for us to show off our beautiful campus and our outstanding basketball facility, “The Complex”. It will also be a great opportunity for basketball fans in our community to see some really good high school basketball. I know that Valdosta will roll out the welcome mat for the teams and fans that come to our community for this event.”
TEAMS: The tournament will feature eight boys teams and eight girls teams for a total of 16 teams. Two semifinal winners will travel to Macon for the state championship game in Macon’s Centroplex.
