VALDOSTA – The Georgia State Board of Education announces that a recess is planned on November 6th due to a fire drill.

As announced on October 30, the State Board of Education will hold a two-day regular meeting on Wednesday, November 5 and Thursday, November 6, 2025.

Due to a fire drill scheduled at the Twin Towers State Buildings on Thursday, November 6 at 9 a.m., the State Board will call its Thursday meeting to order at 9 a.m. and immediately recess until 10 a.m.

The meeting will be open to the public beginning at 9 a.m., but no business will be conducted until the meeting reconvenes at 10 a.m.
