Online Dirt Bike Sale Ends in Murder

WALTON— On November 13, 2019 Kinterie Durden was convicted for the murder of Davoordren Harris and Cortez White.

On May 22, 2017, Kinterie Durden (16-years-old) contacted Cortez White (26-years-old) expressing interest in the dirt bike he had for sale on Facebook. White agreed to meet Durden at his home on Social Circle, Walton County. He brought with him his associate Davordden Harris (30-years-old). Walton County District Attorney’s Office Reports the following:

[White] allowed [Durden] to get into the back of the Toyota Tacoma truck that they had traveled in carrying the dirt bike. Durden took the men to Clegg Farm Road where he shot Harris twice in the back of the head and White three times in the back of the head and once in his back. The vehicle the three were traveling in flipped over and landed right side up as a result of the driver Harris being shot while the vehicle was still in gear and traveling at a slow speed.

The trial lasted lasted a week and a half ending with a conviction of Kinterie Durden on the following charges:

  • Two counts of Malice Murder
  • Felony Murder
  • Armed Robbery
  • Aggravated Assault
  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
