THOMAS Co. – A Thomas County teen has been charged with the aggravated assault of an autistic high school student.

Jordan Stewart, 19, was arrested after allegedly assaulting a Thomas County Central High student who was at Southern Regional Technical College as part of a dual enrollment program.

Stewart is not a student and was reportedly on the campus to visit his girlfriend. The victim was knocked unconscious after a fight broke out while the victim was talking to Stewart’s girlfriend.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment and later released.
