VALDOSTA – The Valdosta Fire Department is currently investigating an early morning fire at a single-family residence on Jo Ree Street.

On Friday, January 3, 2025, at approximately 7:58 a.m., the Valdosta Fire Department responded to the report of a structure fire at 1205 Jo Ree Street. A total of twenty-one fire personnel arrived on scene in just over five minutes to find heavy smoke and flames coming from a single-family residence.

Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control and conducted a thorough search of the home to confirm no occupants remained inside.

Three occupants were displaced and are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

There were no injuries reported. The Valdosta Police Department and SGMC Health EMS assisted with on-scene operations.
