VALDOSTA – The Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority is getting set to host the annual Youth Symposium for middle and high school students.

The Kappa Psi Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. is excited to host their annual Youth Symposium event on March 9 in Valdosta, GA at the Southside Recreation Center.
The event welcomes middle school and high school students.

The sorority has partnered up with Ms. Rachel Bradley, the director of the center, who has a tremendous impact on the youth in the local community. The event will feature engaging sessions focusing on youth budgeting and finances, youth fitness and nutrition, youth social action, and youth career exploration.

The Youth Symposium is a national initiative that takes place yearly to assist the youth in being the best they can be. The event aims to awaken youth to see how they can better themselves, grow in all areas that make them great, and eventually make a difference in giving back to their communities.

The Kappa Psi Sigma Chapter was chartered on Oct. 28, 2008, in Valdosta, Georgia. They serve 9 South Georgia Counties: Atkinson, Ben Hill, Berrien, Cook, Grady, Lanier, Lowndes, Thomas, and Tift.
