VALDOSTA – The Valdosta Police Department made a traffic stop that turned into an arrest for drug charges at approximately 4:11 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
After the stop, an officer could smell marijuana in the vehicle. A search resulted in finding both marijuana and a digital scale commonly used to weigh drugs for sale/distribution.
Jaquea Williams, 19-years-old, was arrested and taken to the Lowndes County Jail on charges of felony possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and misdemeanor possession of drug related objects.
Lt. Scottie Johns said, “We are proud of the officers that investigated this case and prevented these drugs from being distributed into the community. Their work definitely made our city a safer place.”
