VALDOSTA, Ga. – A cold front over the weekend associated with a storm system that moved through the Northeast has brought some brisk temperatures to South Georgia Monday morning.

December is getting off to a chilly start!

By mid-morning Monday, temperatures hold steady at 51 degrees and won’t get but a couple of degrees higher than that before sliding down the thermometer around 5 p.m. until it reaches a not-quite-time-to-bring-the-plants-in-leave-faucets-dripping 34 by 7 a.m. Tuesday.

Tuesday’s high is projected to reach 56 degrees, with less wind and plenty of sunshine, before dipping down to 35.

Though temperatures are flirting with freezing several mornings this week, it doesn’t appear that it will reach it.

At least for this week, expect to need a jacket.
