VALDOSTA – The family of a Valdosta man found dead at a home in October are now offering a reward for information that leads to the arrest of his killer.

Jalon Jackson, 20, was found at a home in the 1100 block of North Toombs Street after his family called police after they had not heard from him.

Investigators with the Valdosta Police Department determined Jackson’s death was a result of foul play and have developed persons of interests.

However, Jackson’s family told WALB they are concerned about the pace of the investigation.

“We are offering a reward with any valid information concerning the murder of my son, Jalon Jackson,” said Kelvin Jackson, Jalon’s father.

They did not say how much the reward will be.

Valdosta Police Chief Brian Childress said on Tuesday night that his department is actively investigating and hope to make an arrest soon.
