VALDOSTA – The National Weather Service had issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Lowndes, Brooks, Berrien, Clinch, Cook, Colguitt, Lanier, Thomas, Echols, Madison and Tift counties.

The severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 10 p.m. this evening.
