VALDOSTA – The noise of construction at Smith Park is attracting curiosity and visitors.

“There has been so many people who have stopped. They’re curious to know what’s going on before there’s really anything to see”, says Jeff Mather.

Mather is an artist out of Atlanta.

While riding his bike by the project site, 15-year-old Demetrious Williams decided to stay and lend a hand with Valdosta’s new public art piece.

“He asked me do I want to do a project and I said yes, because I like doing projects”, said Williams.
