ATLANTA – Opponents of the Sabal Trail pipeline hope a vote by the General Assembly will delay the project.
The State House voted down a Senate measure that would have granted easements for the project under five waterways, including the Flint River.
The House also passed legislation Tuesday that prohibits the use of eminent domain to get land for any pipeline construction through June 2017.
That bill is now awaiting approval by Governor Nathan Deal.
