VALDOSTA — The City of Valdosta will be closed Monday, Jan. 18, 2016, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Citizens are encouraged to participate in local events hosted by the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration Association.

The schedule of events, which mark the Association’s 31st annual remembrance of the life and legacy of Dr. King, is as follows:

Sunday, Jan. 17, 3 p.m.
Saint Paul A.M.E. Church

Youth Showcase
Monday, Jan. 18, 11 a.m.
Mathis City Auditorium
