ALBANY — A man smashed his head against a Dougherty County Courthouse window and is now being charged.

Dennis Turner Jr. received charges on multiple counts of Destruction of Government Property.

On Monday, around 11:30 a.m. Turner received a sentence to six months’ probation for obstruction of an officer at the courthouse.

Turner’s father, Dennis Turner was sentenced to a year in jail.

Multiple Turner family members became upset with the sentences and began to act out. Turner then slammed his own head into a plate glass window.

An emergency medical team responded and applied treatment to his wounds.

Judge Stephen Goss immediately changed his sentence to a full year after the incident.
