ALBANY — Police report they have found an abducted 16-month-old boy taken from an Albany motel Monday.  Reports also state authorities also the man responsible in custody.

According to a report from WALB, officers found Alfred Paul Hunter, 22 of 714 10th Avenue in Albany, and Kaiden Scott, 16 months, late Monday in Sumter County.

There was no immediate word in the report on the condition of the child or the man.

The child had been taken from the Superior Creek Lodge on North Slappey Blvd in Albany just before 1 p.m. Monday.

Investigators reported Hunter was driving a blue 1984 Chevrolet Caprice, and broadcast his tag number to other agencies.

Authorities found the car later Monday, abandoned on Bumphead Road in Sumter County.

Police noted that Hunter had been arrested before.
