VALDOSTA — Ameris Bank appoints Jacob Bell as Market President to lead growth, service and community partnerships in Valdosta.

Ameris Bank announces the appointment of Jacob Bell as Market President for the Valdosta market. In this role, Bell will provide strategic and operational leadership for business development and commercial banking activities across the market, with a focus on serving customers, supporting teammates and strengthening community partnerships. 

As Market President, Bell is responsible for driving market strategy, overseeing financial performance and leading high-performing teams to achieve growth, service and sales goals. He works closely with business and community leaders to identify opportunities, deepen relationships and deliver relationship-based banking solutions aligned with Ameris Bank’s Vision, Purpose, Expectations and Values. 

Bell brings extensive experience in commercial banking and market leadership. Most recently, he served as Commercial Relationship Officer at Renasant Bank, where he focused on middle-market commercial and industrial clients and consistently exceeded loan and deposit growth goals. Previously, he held roles of increasing responsibility including Assistant Relationship Manager for the Valdosta market and Portfolio Manager for South Georgia and Northeast Florida Core Banking, overseeing large commercial loan portfolios, leading regulatory and operational initiatives and supporting teams across South Georgia and Northeast Florida.

Highly engaged in the community, Bell is actively involved in several local and regional organizations, including the Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber of Commerce’s Valdosta Young Professionals, Leadership Lowndes and the Valdosta State University Alumni Association Board of Directors. He is a graduate of Valdosta State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics, and a graduate of Georgia Banking School.
