Camp Kesem FSU’s 2020 camper applications open on January 21st to attend a free week of summer camp.

Camp Kesem FSU is a non-profit that supports children through and beyond a parent’s cancer. Our chapter is run by passionate student leaders that plan/host camp, recruit campers and volunteers, and fundraise year-round. During one week in the summer, Camp Kesem FSU hosts a free week of summer camp for children in the Tallahassee and surrounding communities that have, or have had, a parent/guardian with cancer. Donations from generous donors are essential to Camp Kesem FSU, as the week of camp is 100% for our campers.

There are over 5 million children impacted by a parent’s cancer. Camp Kesem is the largest organization that caters to this unique population. To many children, their Camp Kesem experience is life-changing. Camp Kesem is a safe escape for children who have been impacted by their parent’s cancer.

Support is provided to these children, not only for the one week of camp, but year-round through our camper support program called “Keeping Up With Karl.” This program allows the counselors at Camp Kesem FSU to be aware of birthdays, soccer games, or any other important events our campers might want to encouragement or love for. We want to be able to spread the Kesem magic to as many children we can.

Children ages 6-18 years who have, or have had, a parent or guardian with cancer.

Applications open on  Tuesday, January 21, 2020. The Summer camp session begins Sunday, July 26, 2020 – Saturday, August 1, 2020. The camp will be sited at Warren Willis Camp, 4990 Picciola Rd., Fruitland Park, Fl. 34731
