VALDOSTA – It’s a new year of new gym memberships at Valdosta’s newest gym.
Machines and equipment line the perimeter of The Ice House training facility, and welcome the newest goals to the latest fitness craze.
“It’s not really a destination,” says Terence Boyd, a personal trainer. “It’s a journey and it’s not going to happen overnight.”
A tip to uncovering the ugly truth behind many short-lived resolutions.
Starting late into January, many will drop their weights along with their new years resolutions.
The Ice House says they want new members to stay, but it starts with setting more realistic goals.
“Instead of focusing on getting 50 pounds down in three weeks, how about wanting to take control of my health and fitness,” says Boyd.
It’s about focusing on a better lifestyle to become stronger in more ways than one.
“This is just an intense environment where people are not only going to physically get better, but to mentally strengthen themselves as well,” says Jake Reeves, Owner of the ICE House at 23-years-old.
They say it’s one simple solution to keep your resolution and your body in shape all year long.
