Michael Bruce Harrison, 58, of Lake Park died Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at his home. He was born on December 12, 1962 in Valdosta and was a lifelong resident of Valdosta. Bruce was a member of Northside Baptist Church and employed with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog Fan. Bruce enjoyed spending time watching his stepson, Travis race and spending time with grandchildren. He also enjoyed woodworking and washing his truck.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Harrison of Lake Park; stepdaughter and step son in law, Ashley and Austin Guthrie of Dasher; stepson and stepdaughter in law, Travis and Ashlyn Carter of Lake Park; his mother, Sarah Tyson Shaw of Valdosta; his brothers and sisters in law, Ben and Stephanie Harrison, David and Cindy Harrison; his sister and brother in law, Christie and Davy Register all of Valdosta; step grandchildren, Cason Guthrie, Camdyn Guthrie, Slate Carter; his mother in law, Edna Keeling of Lake Park; sister in law and brother in law, Donna and Howard Pickels of Madison, FL; brother in law and sister in law, Richie and Candi Keeling of Thomasville; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Harrison and his father-in-law, Richard Keeling.
Funeral services will be held at 10am, Saturday, November 6, 2021 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Dr. Robby Foster officiating. Burial with military honors will be held at Dasher Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
