Deborah Ann Collins Gaskin, 61, of Perry, GA, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021. She was born in Waleska, Ga on November 1, 1960 to the late Louis Clyde Collins, and Thomasine Dulaney Collins. She graduated from Gainesville high school in 1979 and attended Gainesville Junior College. Deb attended Sallas Mahone Elementary school in Valdosta Ga. where she developed lifelong friends. She had a long banking career including retirement as an Executive staff assistant with Suntrust Bank. Mrs. Gaskin loved the beach, boating, camping, and cooking. A favorite pastime was fishing and scalloping in Keaton Beach Fla. She loved music and attending concerts. She was a Baptist by faith and attended Southside Baptist Church in Warner Robins, GA.

Mrs. Gaskin is survived by her husband, William C. Gaskin, Jr. of Perry, Ga; son, James Collins Payne of Gainesville, GA; daughter, Jessica Lynn Payne, of Gainesville, GA; granddaughter, Collins Adilayah Hoang, of Gainesville, GA; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Madeline Johnson (John) of Warner Robins, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Ronald Thomas Collins (Mary Jo Lusnak) of Longmont, CO; father-in-law, William C. Gaskin, Sr. of Valdosta Ga.; and her beloved dog Buoy.
A gathering of friends will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Wooden Nickel Pub from 11 am-2 pm. Tim Gaskin will officiate in scripture and prayer. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the CMSGT William C. Gaskin, Sr. & Family scholarship Fund at Valdosta State University, 1500 N Patterson Street, Valdosta, GA 31698.
