Michele Mary Bishop passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, April 12, 2021. Michele was born August 25, 1955 in Sparta, TN to the late William J. Bishop and Helen Moses Bishop. Being the daughter of a military father, she lived in several states as well as Germany growing up. When her father retired the family settles in Valdosta, GA. She was of Catholic Faith and an active member of St. John’s Catholic Church. She graduated from Valdosta High School in 1973. And also attended Wiregrass, University Phoenix Bachelors Hospital Administration with honors. Michele had one son Dwayne Lee Hall. Her career started when she went to work at South Georgia Medical Center in the business office and the emergency room. She then went to work at Dillard’s Distribution Center and then Target Department Store all in Valdosta, GA. She became disabled in 2014 which ended her career at South Georgia Medical Center in the Radiology Department. Her disability never stopped her. She had a great love for her family, her pets, (Sheba, Dot, Rocky, Pearl, and Duke). She also loved attending arts and craft festivals and being outside taking care of her flowers. She was a loving mother, nana, sister, aunt, and friend to many.


She is preceded in death by her parents William J. Bishop & Helen Moses Bishop. Survivors include: Son, Dwayne Lee Hall (his loving wife and her favorite daughter-in-law Jamie) Grandson; Dustin Hall Granddaughter; Megan Pierce Great Grandson; Karson Hall Sister; Teresa (Mike) Angove Brother; Michael (Michele) Bishop Nephews; Matthew Todd (Donna) Earp, Anthony Ryan (Michelle) Earp, William M. Frier (Amber) Niece; Jamie Bishop (Luis Perez) Great nephews and nieces; Cole Earp, Landon Earp, Andria Earp, Kayla Earp, Jonathon Earp, Hannah Frier, & Joelle Barnwell. And numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, April 16, 2021, at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church. Father Brian LaBurt will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Condolences may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com. Carson McLane Funeral is serving the Bishop family.
